In the Tilburg logistics center, large-format Coverlam provides resistance to the interior floors of a space that stands out for its design and sustainability.
Design and sustainability
The highlights of the futuristic design of this logistics center in Tilburg are the spaciousness and rounded shapes. The Tube is the name given to the south façade, an elliptical volume 290 meters long from which a spherical shape is cut.
The use of natural light, the use of sustainable materials such as Coverlam and the use of smart technology led to it achieving the BREEAM certificate with a score of 98.48%. That is why it can be said that it is the most sustainable distribution center in Europe.
Global green stamp
BREEAM is one of the most recognized sustainability certifications in architecture. It assesses the environmental impact of buildings in aspects such as energy efficiency, water management, materials, and indoor health.
Coverlam, a high-performance sintered stone, provides key points in this assessment: it contains recycled material, reduces emissions in transport due to its lightness, and guarantees durability, low maintenance, and absence of harmful substances, aligning with the values of responsible construction.
Pure industrial aesthetics
Coverlam's Titan series was used in the interior flooring of the Tilburg logistics center, in a 1000x3000 mm format. This large-format porcelain tile, inspired by the sobriety of cement, enhances the industrial aesthetics of the project, aligning with the avant-garde architecture of the building.
The choice of this material has allowed us to generate visually continuous, modern and functional surfaces, which reinforce the innovative and sustainable character of the complex.
Stylish washbasins
Coverlam allows you to create bathroom sinks with an integrated sink from the same material, achieving a uniform design, without visible cuts or joints. This solution provides aesthetic continuity and ease of cleaning, while offering high resistance to humidity, cleaning products and daily use.
Its wide range of finishes, from cementitious to marbled, allows each piece to be adapted to the style of the project, combining design, durability and functionality in a single gesture.
